Bhutan Cultural Tour is one of our best Bhutan tour packages through the major touristic cities like Paro, Bumthang, Phunakha and Thimpu. It is the perfect tour to explore the ‘country of the thunder dragon’ in less than a week time. It is also called the Best of Bhutan tour package as it lets you experience the culture, tradition, lifestyle, arts and history of Bhutan.
This 06 Day Bhutan Cultural Tour begins in Paro, which is home to the Paro airport, the only International Airport in Bhutan. It is considered one of the most challenging airports to land in the world, so the experience is sure to be exhilarating. Our tour starts on the very first day with the chance to visit the Rinpung Dzong fortress. The second day is even better, as we make the 1-2 hour drive to the Bhutanese capital, Thimpu.
Thimpu is the capital city of Bhutan with a plethora of culture and historical landmarks to explore. We will visit places such as the Golden Takin, Zulekha nunnery, National Handicraft Emporium and more. Similarly, Punakha is the former capital of Bhutan until 1,955. Pungthang Dewachen Gi Phodrang, better known as Punakha Dzong or Palace of Great Happiness, is one of the well-known and most amazing palaces in Bhutan.
The next couple of days involves driving to Paro along with the hike to the Tiger’s Nest. Locally known as Paro Taktshang, it is a centuries old monastery/temple complex located beside the hills of Upper Paro. It is definitely a jaw dropping site that you will have a hard time finding anywhere else in the world. It also has important ties with Buddhist legend Padmashambhava. Finally, on the sixth day, our tour ends with the return flight from Paro to Kathmandu. Enjoy the aerial views of the Bhutanese as well as Nepalese Himalayas.
Hoshizora Treks & Tour offers this Bhutan Cultural Tour in addition to other tours and treks like Druk Path Trekking. If you would like to make any modifications to our default itinerary or have any inquiries, please feel free to contact us. Bhutan Tour is also unique in the sense that only a limited number of travelers are allowed to visit in order to preserve its culture and environment. The cost may feel expensive at a glance, but this is because the Bhutanese Tourism Council has decreed that all services (Accommodation, Food, Transport, Visa Fee, Location Entry Fee etc.) must be managed by the tour operators themselves.
Final thing to consider for the Bhutan Cultural Tour is the difficulty and best time. As this is a sightseeing tour, it is suitable for most people due to the easy difficulty. As for the best time, the tour is operated all year long as seasons aren’t a major concern. However, spring and autumn seasons, and the March/April months in particular, are the best times to visit if you can manage the time.
