Bardia Jungle Safari

Bardia Jungle Safari

  • Overview

Bardia National Park, located northwest of Nepalgunj, is the largest of the seven national parks in Nepal. The park was originally formed to protect threatened ecosystems and to conserve both tigers and their prey. The park has since expanded to become one of the finest in Nepal. It has fewer tourists compared to the popular Chitwan National Park, due to its location which is in the west of Nepal. Taking a flight will take 1 hour, taking a bus ride will take around 11 to 12 hours.

Ecologically, Bardia National Park has a greater range of habitats as compared to Chitwan National Park. Lush dense forests are home to an incredibly diverse range of floras and faunas, endangered species such as rhinoceros, wild elephant, tiger, swamp deer, Gharial crocodile, Gangetic dolphin, Bengal Florican and the Sarus Crane, etc… are all found here.

Our most popular safari tour package. The 4 Night 5 Day Package Tour can be called the best safari package in Bardia as the traveler has the opportunity to explore to the maximum as they will have one full day Jeep Safari and another half-day Jeep Safari combined with tiger-tracking and bird watching (by foot) followed by one full day Jungle walk with picnic. Tiger tracking and Bird watching are always a highlight as one of our main aims in the Park will be to see the Tiger, as well as Rhinos, Wild Elephants and more wild animals.

Best Season for Bardia Jungle Safari

As the Bardia National Park is open all year long, the jungle safari can be performed accordingly as well whenever you wish. For the best safari and wildlife spotting experience, we recommend visiting anywhere between late autumn to early spring (October - February). For bird watching enthusiasts, visiting during September to November and February to April might be more appropriate as these are the migratory periods.
