Mera Peak soaring at 6,476 meters is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. Despite its high elevation, it is one of the easy and demands no or very little technical skill to conquer via normal route. Mera Peak is situated at the east of Khumbu Region and is very less visited trail, so trekking to Mera Peak offers you best chance to explore undisturbed nature. This incredible peak has three summits, namely; Mera North (6,476m), Mera Central (6,461m) and Mera South (6,065m). Among these three we will summit Mera North Peak which was first successfully climbed in 1975 by French Trekking Team – Marcle Jolly, G. Baus and L. Honils.
Besides the peak climbing and adventure, you can also collect some cultural experiences while trekking to the base of Mera Peak. The trekking trail is habitat of Sherpa people who has their unique traditions, cultures and lifestyle. During the trekking period, you can be close to Sherpas and learn about them and their mystic culture.
An experienced, knowledgeable and friendly team member of Hoshizora Treks and Tour has carefully set an Itinerary of Mera Peak Climbing in such way that allows gradual ascend and at the mean time ensures proper acclimatization. This helps novice trekkers to accomplish the Mera Peak climbing successfully without any hurdles.
The actual trekking commences from Lukla, after a short domestic flight. Then passes through off-beaten path where you will get enough chances to explore rarely visited part of Everest Region (Khumbu Region).
