Specially, Paragliding in Nepal takes the experience to another level. Freely flying with the eagles and hawks above bustling cities, quaint villages, lush forests, verdant hills, tranquil lakes and enjoying the view of some of the highest peaks in the world, what more could a person ask for. It is one of the most popular activities among both local and international tourists in Nepal.

The main location for Paragliding in Nepal is in the Annapurna region, particularly around Pokhara. The takeoff point is at the Sarangkot (1,600m) hill station. The mesmerizing scenery of the Annapurna region comprising of peaks like Annapurna, Machhapuchhare, Dhaulagiri and lakes like Phewa and Begnas have made Pokhara one of the most popular paragliding destinations in the whole world.

Aside from Pokhara, occasional paragliding is done in places like Kathmandu, Tanahun, Nuwakot, Gorkha etc. Regular paragliding is starting soon in Kathmandu to facilitate the incoming tourists during Visit Nepal 2020.

The flying season for Paragliding in Nepal is from November to February. November and December are considered the best months of the year for Paragliding in Nepal. A variety of options are available such as Tandem flight, Cloud flight, Cross valley, Acrobatic etc. The tour can be performed by anyone as our professional pilots will take care of all necessities and provide you with full briefing before the flight. Day 01: Arrival At TIA Kathmandu

Day 02: Flight to Pokhara and Hike to Sarangkot (1,592m)

Day 03: Paragliding tour

Day 04: Final departure



After landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport, meet up with our representative who will be waiting for you with signboards of your name. They will escort you to your hotel where you can rest after the flight. In the afternoon / evening, you can visit our office for a briefing on the paragliding tour.

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to the Kathmandu Airport for a scenic early morning flight to Pokhara. Enjoy stunning aerial views of various peaks of the region including Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and more on this half hour trip. After landing at the lakeside city, your luggage will be transferred to a hotel. As for us, we will head towards Sarangkot. It is a fairly short and easy trek of just 3-4 hours. This is a good introduction to the culture, scenery and general atmosphere of Pokhara and the region in general.

The sunrise view from Sarangkot is spectacular as it is one of the best viewpoints in Pokhara. After breakfast, have a short drive or trek up to the flying station. You’ll have a number of options to choose from, ranging from Solo flights to Tandem flights, and standard 20-30 min flights to longer cross country flights. Of course, a flight permit will be necessary for solo flying, which you can obtain from the Civil Aviation Office. Regardless of the choice you make, soaring high alongside the birds and enjoying bird’s eye views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Fishtail and Phewa Lake and Pokhara beneath you is sure to be an unforgettable experience. This thrilling experience will surely leave you longing for more. After you land, our representative will meet up with you, complete all procedures and transfer you back to your hotel. For the rest of the day, you can relax at the hotel or explore the lakeside city on your own.

Enjoy the last morning of the trip with breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, you can check out of the hotel and catch a bus or take a return flight to Kathmandu. If your trip isn’t over yet, then the itinerary can be extended to more days and include city tours or other longer treks.
